The Grissom marching band is in desperate need of a stationary director's observation tower installed on the auxiliary field at Grissom. What we have used in the past few years is now obsolete. We had a scaffolding rolling tower we used when we had to share the football field and soccer field when we first moved here 5 years ago. There is no space to put that anywhere on the aux field because of the slope of the grassy area near the fence where it needs to be. We really cannot do our job for the marching band if we cannot be high enough to see the intricate formations and "clean" them so the band can do well at competitions. The tower would need to be at least 20'-25' in height secured to a concrete slab.
Anyway, we need something very sturdy that will last for many, many years. I have attached pictures of some that are made of steel and wood. There are companies that manufacture these and will come install them for a VERY HIGH price tag. $25k-$50k. We have been given permission for the band parents to start a GoFundMe to help with this project. If any of you have connections to building contractors or materials that could help us out locally that would be awesome. Please email us so we can get the ball rolling. It would be great to have a few parents form a Tiger Tower Team and make this happen for us and the band.

This site is designed mainly for our parents and students but we invite you to check us out to see how we run things here at Grissom. We have some of the best students and parents anywhere. Without their hard work and dedication to music making we could never accomplish what we do. We have a standard of excellence that is strived for each year and we are very proud of what our students can accomplish. Thank you for visiting!
